From the Valley of the Bosnian Pyramids to the Sacred Shores of Lake Baikal

The Bosnian Pyramids, Tesla & Siberia Expedition is an original Old Worlds Tours route, thoughtfully designed to connect some of Eurasia's most extraordinary places into one unforgettable experience.

Beginning among the ancient Bosnian Pyramids, we continue to Belgrade to explore the life and legacy of Nikola Tesla before travelling to the mysterious Mountain Rtanj. From there, the journey unfolds through the imperial elegance of St. Petersburg, the vibrant heart of Moscow, and across the vast landscapes of Siberia aboard the legendary Trans-Siberian Railway, culminating at the sacred shores of Lake Baikal.

At first glance, these places may seem unrelated. Yet each invites us to explore a different dimension of human potential — our ancient origins, the genius of innovation, the beauty of art and architecture, the wisdom of traditional cultures, and our enduring relationship with the living Earth. Together they form a journey that is both outward and inward, weaving history, nature, creativity, remembrance, and meaningful human connection into one remarkable expedition.

This is not a conventional tour. It is an immersive expedition that invites curiosity, thoughtful conversation, genuine cultural encounters, and a deeper appreciation of the landscapes and traditions that continue to shape our world.

Throughout the journey, we are gently guided by the principles of Nikola Tesla Harmonics, encouraging presence, coherence, creativity, joy, and a deeper relationship with ourselves, one another, and the extraordinary places we visit.

We don't simply visit places — we build relationships with them.

Every destination deserves time to be experienced, understood, and felt. We travel slowly, remain present, and create space for meaningful encounters with nature, history, culture, and each other.

Who Is This Expedition For?

This expedition has been created for curious travellers, lovers of history and culture, explorers of extraordinary landscapes, and those inspired by Nikola Tesla's legacy, ancient mysteries, sacred places, architecture, art, and meaningful travel.

No previous experience with Nikola Tesla Harmonics is required — only an open mind, a spirit of curiosity, and a genuine love of discovery.

The Journey

Valley of the Bosnian Pyramids & Sarajevo & Mostar

Aerial view of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun valley

For many, the Bosnian Pyramids are among the most extraordinary places they will ever visit. Beyond their remarkable geometry and ongoing archaeological research, countless visitors are drawn to the unique atmosphere of the valley itself. Daily walks through the Ravne healing tunnels, time spent among the pyramid complex, and moments of quiet reflection invite a profound sense of presence, restoration, and inner stillness.

The sacred geometry of the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids has inspired researchers and explorers from around the world. Many are fascinated by the relationship between the Pyramid of the Sun, Moon, Dragon, Love, and Earth, and by the symbolism of the Seven Sisters — the Pleiades — whose pattern has been compared with the wider landscape. Whether viewed through the lens of archaeology, astronomy, mythology, or personal experience, the valley encourages us to ask deeper questions about our ancestors, the intelligence expressed through nature, and humanity's enduring relationship with the cosmos.

The layout of the Pyramid of the Sun, Moon, Dragon, Love, and Earth has long been compared to the pattern of the Pleiades star cluster — a resonance between landscape and sky that continues to draw researchers to the valley.

For us, this is far more than a destination. It is a place of potent, pulsing vitality — a landscape that seems to awaken remembrance. Here, time slows, conversations deepen, laughter comes easily, and the natural world gently invites us back into coherence with ourselves. Whatever your perspective, the Bosnian Pyramids offer a rare opportunity to step away from the noise of everyday life and immerse yourself in an environment that many experience as uplifting, joyful, and profoundly inspiring.

Sarajevo & Mostar — The Soul of Bosnia and Herzegovina

During our stay in the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids, we explore two of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most iconic cities.

We also visit the timeless town of Mostar, famous for its magnificent Old Bridge, cobbled streets, vibrant markets, riverside cafés, and beautifully preserved Ottoman architecture. Rich in history and character, Mostar is one of the Balkans' most captivating destinations.

Together, Sarajevo and Mostar offer a wonderful complement to our time at the Bosnian Pyramids, adding culture, history, exceptional food, and the unforgettable spirit of Bosnia and Herzegovina to our journey.

Belgrade — In the Footsteps of Nikola Tesla

Our journey continues in the vibrant Serbian capital of Belgrade, a city where ancient history, resilient spirit, and modern creativity meet at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers.

Here we honour the extraordinary legacy of Nikola Tesla with a visit to the Nikola Tesla Museum, home to many of his personal belongings, original documents, inventions, and scientific demonstrations that continue to inspire visitors from around the world.

“My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know that it exists.” — N. Tesla

We also visit the magnificent Saint Sava Church, one of the largest Orthodox churches ever built and a masterpiece of sacred architecture. Standing beneath its soaring dome offers a powerful sense of scale, beauty, and centuries of spiritual tradition.

As evening falls, we gather for dinner in the charming bohemian quarter of Skadarlija, where cobblestone streets, traditional Serbian cuisine, live music, and warm hospitality capture the timeless soul of Belgrade.

Our exploration continues through the historic Kalemegdan Fortress, overlooking the rivers below, before strolling along the elegant Knez Mihailova pedestrian boulevard — the cultural heart of the city, alive with cafés, galleries, historic buildings, and the unmistakable energy that makes Belgrade one of Europe's most welcoming capitals.

Belgrade is far more than the birthplace of our Serbian adventure. It is a city where history, innovation, spirituality, and everyday life exist side by side — a fitting place to begin following the remarkable legacy of Nikola Tesla before our expedition carries us eastward toward the vast landscapes of Siberia.

Mountain Rtanj — Serbia's Pyramid Mountain

The pyramid-shaped peak of Mountain Rtanj

Rising in near-perfect symmetry above the Serbian landscape, Mountain Rtanj has captivated explorers, scientists, mystics, and adventurers for generations. Its striking pyramid-like form, unusual geology, and enduring legends have made it one of Europe's most intriguing mountains and a place where mystery and natural beauty seem to converge.

For some, Rtanj is a mountain of powerful natural energies. Others are drawn by stories of hidden chambers, ancient civilisations, unexplained phenomena, and the remarkable biodiversity that thrives across its slopes. Whatever your perspective, there is an undeniable presence here that has inspired countless personal experiences and continues to attract visitors from around the world.

Together we explore this extraordinary landscape, breathe its pristine mountain air, visit places of cultural and historical significance, and experience the quiet stillness that has made Rtanj a place of pilgrimage for seekers, hikers, researchers, and lovers of nature alike.

For Nikola Tesla Harmonics, Rtanj holds a special place. It is a mountain that invites coherence, presence, and remembrance — a landscape where nature, geometry, and human curiosity meet in one of the Balkans' most remarkable settings.

St. Petersburg — A Living Masterpiece of Art and Architecture

A St. Petersburg canal at golden hour

Often regarded as one of the world's most beautiful cities, St. Petersburg is a celebration of human creativity expressed through architecture, art, music, and design. Grand boulevards, elegant canals, magnificent cathedrals, imperial palaces, and world-renowned museums create a city that feels less like a destination and more like a living work of art.

The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood

Throughout history, sacred architecture has sought to do more than inspire the eye. Through proportion, symmetry, harmony, light, and geometry, master builders created spaces that naturally evoke awe, stillness, beauty, and contemplation. Whether experienced in great cathedrals, palace squares, or classical gardens, these timeless principles continue to influence how we feel, think, and relate to the world around us.

As we wander through St. Petersburg's remarkable streets and cultural treasures, we invite ourselves to slow down and fully absorb the beauty that surrounds us. Great architecture does not simply occupy space — it shapes our experience of it. It reminds us that beauty has the power to awaken creativity, restore coherence, and reconnect us with the deeper rhythms of life.

For us, St. Petersburg is more than one of Europe's architectural jewels. It is a living expression of what humanity can create when imagination, craftsmanship, mathematics, art, and spirit come together in harmony.

Moscow — The Heart of Russia

Red Square and Saint Basil's Cathedral in snow

Our journey continues to Moscow, Russia's dynamic capital and one of the world's great historic cities, where centuries of tradition meet the energy of modern life.

Together we explore the iconic Red Square, the colourful domes of Saint Basil's Cathedral, the historic Kremlin walls, and the elegant streets that have witnessed the unfolding of Russian history for generations. From grand avenues and magnificent architecture to lively public squares and hidden corners filled with character, Moscow offers a fascinating glimpse into the cultural soul of the nation.

The Kremlin towers illuminated at night

Beyond its famous landmarks, Moscow is a city of remarkable contrasts. Ancient monasteries stand beside contemporary skylines, classical arts flourish alongside innovation, and a deep appreciation for literature, music, science, and human achievement continues to shape its identity.

As we immerse ourselves in this extraordinary city, we discover that Moscow is far more than a political or historical centre. It is a place of resilience, creativity, and enduring cultural richness — a fitting gateway before we embark on one of the world's greatest rail journeys across the vast landscapes of Siberia.

The Trans-Siberian Railway — One of the World's Great Rail Journeys

A steam train crossing a viaduct in autumn Siberia

There are few travel experiences as iconic as the legendary Trans-Siberian Railway. For three unforgettable days, our home becomes the railway itself as we journey across the immense landscapes of Siberia, travelling through ancient forests, wide-open plains, crystal-clear rivers, traditional villages, and ever-changing horizons that stretch as far as the eye can see.

Life aboard the train unfolds at a different pace. As the scenery gently drifts past our window, there is time to read, reflect, write, share stories, meet fellow travellers, and simply be present. It is a rare opportunity to slow down and experience the rhythm of the land in a way that modern travel seldom allows.

The railway's path east from Moscow toward Irkutsk and Lake Baikal

The Trans-Siberian is far more than a railway — it is a thread that has connected Europe and Asia for over a century, linking cultures, landscapes, and communities across one of the greatest landmasses on Earth. Every kilometre reveals another chapter of Eurasia's remarkable story.

For us, this is not simply a means of reaching our destination. It is an essential part of the expedition itself — a journey through space, time, and the vastness of the natural world, reminding us that sometimes the greatest discoveries are made not only where we arrive, but in the journey between.

Lake Baikal — The Sacred Heart of Siberia

Shamanka Rock rising from the summer waters of Lake Baikal

Our expedition reaches its final destination at the breathtaking Lake Baikal, the oldest and deepest freshwater lake on Earth, holding nearly twenty percent of the world's unfrozen fresh water. Surrounded by mountains, forests, and vast open skies, Baikal is a place of extraordinary natural beauty and profound stillness.

For the Indigenous Buryat people, Lake Baikal is far more than a lake. Revered as the Sacred Sea, it has long been regarded as a living spiritual presence — a place where nature, ancestors, and the unseen world remain deeply connected. Throughout our time here, we are introduced to local traditions and have the opportunity to respectfully meet practitioners of Buryat shamanic culture, gaining insight into one of the world's oldest living spiritual traditions.

We also visit the famous Shamanka Rock on Olkhon Island, one of Siberia's most revered sacred sites. For centuries, this striking rock formation has been a place of ceremony, pilgrimage, and deep cultural significance, standing as a powerful symbol of the enduring relationship between people, spirit, and the natural world.

Lake Baikal is more than the final destination of our expedition — it is its culmination. Here, amid the silence of Siberia and the timeless beauty of one of Earth's great natural wonders, we pause to reflect on the remarkable journey we have shared, carrying home not only unforgettable memories, but a renewed sense of presence, wonder, and connection with the living world.

From here, our journey draws gently to a close as we make our way back to Belgrade, where the expedition formally concludes and guests depart on their international flights home.

Guided by Nikola Tesla Harmonics

Throughout the expedition, the journey is gently supported by the principles of Nikola Tesla Harmonics — a philosophy inspired by harmony, coherence, resonance, and our innate relationship with the living world.

As we travel through ancient landscapes, vibrant cities, sacred mountains, and the vast wilderness of Siberia, we share simple Nikola Tesla Harmonics practices designed to cultivate presence, inner stillness, creativity, and a deeper connection with ourselves, one another, and the places we visit.

Inspired by Nikola Tesla's lifelong fascination with resonance, harmony, and the hidden intelligence woven throughout nature, these experiences invite us to slow down, listen more deeply, and become fully present to the remarkable journey unfolding around us.

Rather than simply visiting extraordinary places, we seek to enter into relationship with them — to experience their beauty, atmosphere, history, and living presence with openness, curiosity, and gratitude.

From the Bosnian Pyramids to Mountain Rtanj, from the imperial elegance of St. Petersburg and Moscow to the timeless shores of Lake Baikal, Nikola Tesla Harmonics becomes a gentle thread woven throughout the expedition, encouraging coherence, joy, creativity, remembrance, and a profound appreciation for the interconnectedness of all life.

Travel Arrangements

Guests are responsible for arranging their international flights to and from Belgrade, which serves as the gateway for this expedition. As international flights into Belgrade are typically more affordable than flying directly into Sarajevo, we arrange convenient onward transport from Belgrade to Sarajevo, where the expedition begins. At the conclusion of the journey, the group flies back to Belgrade, from where guests will depart on their international flights home.

From the moment the journey commences, all travel throughout the expedition is included in the tour price. This includes domestic flights, the legendary Trans-Siberian Railway, private ground transportation, airport transfers within the itinerary, and all scheduled transport between destinations.

Our intention is simple: once you arrive, you can relax and fully immerse yourself in the experience while we take care of every detail of the journey.

Meals

The expedition includes full board throughout most of the journey, allowing you to relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about daily arrangements.

In a selection of destinations celebrated for their vibrant culinary traditions — including Sarajevo, Mostar, Belgrade, St. Petersburg, and Moscow — we intentionally leave several meals free. This gives you the opportunity to wander at your own pace, discover local cafés and restaurants, sample regional specialties, and share memorable meals with fellow travellers or new friends.

We believe that some of the most authentic travel experiences happen around a table. These moments of personal exploration allow you to immerse yourself in the unique flavours, atmosphere, and everyday life of each city while choosing the dining experience that best suits your tastes.

A Personal Note from Tara

Some journeys begin long before we ever take the first step.

For many years, I have felt a quiet calling towards Siberia. The vast forests, the endless horizons, the timeless waters of Lake Baikal, and the ancient traditions of the Buryat people have lived in my heart for a very long time. Like many of the journeys we create at Old Worlds Tours, this expedition was not designed from a map — it grew from a deep sense that one day it was meant to be walked.

There is something profoundly moving about following a path that connects the Bosnian Pyramids, Nikola Tesla's homeland, Mountain Rtanj, the beauty of St. Petersburg, the great Trans-Siberian Railway, and finally the sacred shores of Lake Baikal. To me, they are connected by a common thread — human curiosity, creativity, remembrance, and our enduring relationship with the living Earth.

I don't believe we choose every journey. Sometimes, a journey quietly chooses us.

If, as you read these pages, you feel a similar sense of curiosity or excitement, perhaps this expedition is calling you too.

It would be a true privilege to share this remarkable adventure with you.

With warmth,
